A startup company has created a gaming glove that detects mouse-clicks before they even happen.

Brink Bionics, who are a Canadian startup that produce neural interfaces for gaming and eSports, have developed the Impulse Neuro-Controller – a fingerless glove that, compared to regular systems, can register clicks up to 80 milliseconds sooner. 

According to an article on New Atlas, the glove has four myoelectric sensors that are located above each of the dorsal interossei muscles. These are the muscles that move the fingers and are situated on the back of our hands. 

In just a split second before one of the dorsal interossei muscles contracts, an electrical signal is emitted which is picked up by the corresponding sensor. That signal is then registered instantly by the software, with a signal for a mouse-click then sent to the computer that the gamer is using.

The Impulse Neuro-Controller glove has a planned retail price of US$169 after having successful crowdfunding campaigns via Kickstarter and Indiegogo.
