LG produces face mask adapted for air purification

A new face mask that incorporates air purification features has been unveiled by LG.

The mask comes equipped with two H13 HEPA filters, a respiratory sensor and multispeed fans. The respiratory sensor monitors the user’s breathing patterns and alters the fans appropriately, while the two filters enable clean air to be taken in. In addition, this mask is recyclable.

“The PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier is an exciting addition to our growing lineup of products designed to deliver meaningful health and hygiene benefits, said Dan Song, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company.

“At a time when consumers are seeking ways to make life safer and more convenient, it’s important that we’re able to offer solutions that add measurable value.”

Though its not confirmed as to whether this mask has been designed specifically to combat the spread of COVID-19, more details of the mask are set to be released during this week’s 2020 IFA event, which is a significant event for many product launches.
